LF Trailers has manufactured Category O2 trailers from our West Rand facility since 2003. We build trailers towable by cars and pickup trucks — with a Gross Vehicle Mass up to 3 500 kg — for contractors, farmers, businesses, and private customers across South Africa.
Over two decades we have built thousands of trailers spanning diesel and water tankers, fire fighters, equipment haulers, flat decks, box trailers, and niche custom builds. We do not manufacture large semi-trailer combinations — our focus is tough, compliant trailers built for real-world jobs.

Licensing & Compliance
Built to South African standards — not shortcuts.
LF Trailers is an NRCS-accredited manufacturer registered with the Motor Industry Board (MIB). Our trailers comply with compulsory specifications under the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications, including VC 8026 for trailers.
As a licensed manufacturer of new trailers, registerable builds are homologated where applicable and supplied for NATIS (National Traffic Information System) registration. Each trailer receives a data plate stamped with manufacturer details, VIN, GVM, and tare mass per National Road Traffic Act Regulation 245.
We manufacture Category O2 trailers — trailers with a GVM greater than 750 kg and up to 3 500 kg. Site-only trailers are clearly identified where they are not intended for public-road registration.
